Lovevery - Designing an unboxing experience for Lovevery's first stand-alone play set.
The Lovevery Music Set teaches children as young as 18 months old how to identify patterns through color and sound. Decoding sounds helps to process words while building a love for music with real instruments that are set in the pentatonic scale - that way no matter what they play, or how loud they play it, it will always sound great - maybe even a little bluesy.

An early rendering showing how all of the parts could be organized in the set.
The initial concept for the pat bells was to capture them in press-fit corrugated inserts.
A molded fiber tray was used to hold the pat bells in place during transit.
The set comes with a lot of instruments to keep track of, so developing a solution to keep everything organized when not in use was a key goal for the packaging. Since these are real instruments, protecting them in transit to meet the requirements for Amazon and our own internal ISTA standards was going to be difficult.
This belly band was designed to be reusable to protect the pan flute ribbons.
We designed the packaging to double as a storage case for parents when not in use. A molded fiber tray was used to hold the pat bells in place during transit. This was placed at the top of the set in an FSRO tray to make it easy to toss the bells back in after use. The music book has its own press-fit insert at the bottom of the carton, and all of the other instruments can be placed in any orientation in the remaining cavity for safe and convenient storage. To make a pulp mold that could be easily retained and hold up well over time, we chose to use a wet press process for production. The result was a very tightly packed set that palletized efficiently and was able to ship globally. ✖
The set comes with a working metronome featuring animals for the different speeds.
